What is Business Building and Peer Support?

Our business building and peer support sessions are held regionally and blend expertise with peer-led two-way discussions. Most practitioners when building a business or delivering services in the dispute resolution sector will experience similar issues and barriers and we use this time to help you overcome challenges.


Each session is focused on key areas of business development:

  • strategy
  • marketing
  • sales
  • social media
  • content planning and writing
  • client and matter management


Peer support means:

  • adding mutual value
  • learning from each other
  • helping each other develop skills and understanding
  • building lasting relationships


The sessions are an hour in length and take place online via Zoom.

How Does Peer Support Help Me?

We have been providing these sessions for Mediators for many years and they love them...and here's why...


It's great for junior or recently qualified practitioners as they can learn from more seasoned practitioners about the struggles they experienced when starting out.


It's great for experienced practitioners because they get to share their knowledge and help juniors.


All practitioners are continuously learning - some of our most experienced practitioners tell us that they still learn from others (social media, new practices and skills, developments in approach and style).


These sessions are geared to help with business and experience building. Attending means that you are growing your professional network and developing meaningful relationships with peers.

Need a Mentor or Buddy?

Starting out as a practitioner can be a daunting and lonely experience. That's why we champion buddying up and mentoring opportunities with other practitioners.


Some are experienced in your field, others bring worldly commercial expertise or other relevant skills and knowledge.


A buddy or mentor is someone who you can talk to, collaborate with, and seek opportunities to build a business.


We have found that many informal mentoring and buddy style relationships have formed through networking and peer support sessions.
